Why? Because it is not old enough? Snce when do we judge quality on how long the album has been out or how big the impact was? So biased. The question in the OP was : "which one is better?"

I'll probably say LAP.
Uhhhh.....no. I'm not even talking about the impact.
Yes, the timeframe counts. The other 3 albums have been out for more than 15 years
. 4 was released just last year. We don't know well how it will hold up musically in 3 years, let alone 15 years from now.
Voted for 4 even though I know it's not the best. Just my favorite.
Basically, here is the CORRECT answer.
Rhythm Nation > Daydream (Fantasy was her most important song in her entire career) = Like a Prayer > 4
Also, where is Rated R? That was Rihanna's most critically applauded work and was also her 4th album
Pretty much.
And I don't know if "Fantasy" was Mariah's most important song, but it's better than everything (by miles) on LaP save the title track and better than anything on 4. Underneath The Stars and Always Be My Baby are pluses as well.

No, it definitely was. Mariah said it herself that it was her most important song. Mostly because it was one of the first songs to perfectly merge Pop & Hip Hop together and put it into the mainstream. It paved the way for songs like Crazy in Love & Umbrella.
