Once the news gets a hold of this, his campaign is done (more than it is). It's now officially Obama vs. Romney.
Then, a big chunk of the idiotic Americans we're forced to call our fellow citizens will hear that Romney is Mormon and probably have a bitch fit cause Americans are incredible at freaking out about anything that goes against the majority (just look at the projected 1/6 of Americans saying they couldn't trust Obama in 2008 due to his black race and the big speculation that he was Muslim, not that either even matter). I think that it could severely hurt Romney's chances of winning.
While I don't want him to win, I don't think it's fair that if it's close enough, that he lost cause he was Mormon, when quite frankly, a large percentage of those voting against him because of his religion probably don't even know what the faith believes in.
That all being said, I still Obama to win. His first term didn't change a ton, but it's kinda unfair for people to assume he'd be able to fix everything in 4 years. Even at that, he's kept us from falling deeper into the recession, has begun to improve the conditions we're under, and has done a lot of social justice (Getting rid of Don't Ask Don't Tell, for example, was a very significant step in equality rights). I think to discredit him for four years when he has had quite the obstacles to undergo is a bit unfair.
All in all, glad Rick ruined his chances with this slip-up. Romney and Obama are gonna duke it out now.
Kinda got off-topic, but whatever.
