Overexposed Sells 190,000 In First Week, 'One More Night Deb
It's Maroon 5 week! And that means new songs and a new album. With all that... the alternative rock to power pop quintet released the new single "One More Night" on June 19 on iTunes, making it's big debut this week on the Billboard charts. Plus, we got the scoop on the band's fourth CD Overexposed and how will look on the Billboard albums' chart on next week's sales.
Maroon 5 released their new single on June 19 "One More Night", a reggae-jam produced by Max Martin and Shellback who candy covered the band's number-one summer hit last year "Moves Like Jagger." But the Christina Aguilera collaboration doesn't seem to match up with reggae, just like "Night." The new single debuts at No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, and makes a No. 12 impression on the Billboard Digital Songs chart. The new song follows the release of Overexposed's fronting single "Payphone", featuring Wiz Khalifa, which first charted in late April debuting at No. 3 on the Hot 100. "Payphone" moves up a spot to No. 2 this week, reaching it's new peak, on the Hot 100 singles chart. Over on the Digital Songs chart "Payphone" falls 2-3 while Katy Perry's new synth tune "Wide Awake" beats the gang to the runner-up spot. The song also moves up a spot 3-2 on the Pop Songs chart, 4-3 on the On-Demand chart, and still remains the NO. 1 single in Canada. However for their 2010 album Hands All Over, which still charts freely throughout the Billboard 200 albums chart, it falls into the bad-half descending 100-115. It first peaked almost 2 years ago at No. 2 falling behind Linkin Park... which is coinsidence that the band will be going up against Linkin Park again in this coming sales week.

Veteran Warner Bros. Rockers to Debut with 220-240k, Maroon Could Hit 200k
June 27, 2012
Linkin Park’s Living the high life.
The veteran Warner Bros. rap-rockers will debut at #1 on the next HITS Album sales chart with their fifth studio album, Living Things, which looks headed to an opening week of between 220-240k, according to one-day sales reports from those retailers who haven’t paved paradise and put up a parking lot. It’s the first chart-topper for WEA this year.
That compares favorably with their last album, A Thousand Suns, which debuted in Sept. 2010 with 241k, and went on to sell 845k.
A&M/Octone act Maroon 5 prove the power of television, as lead singer Adam Levine’s stint on The Voice has led to a first-week projection between 190-210k, which would top the debut of the band’s last album, Hands All Over. That one entered the charts with 142k in sales in Sept. 2010, just a week after Linkin Park’s last album, coincidentally enough. The album already has one smash single in “Payphone,” featuring Wiz Khalifa, and boasts plenty more where that came from.
Next highest debut after that will be Maybach Music Group’s MMG Presents, Vol. 2, a WEA-distributed album featuring Rick Ross, Wale, Meek Mill, Stalley and Omarion, is in the 80-90k range.
RCA R&B icon R. Kelly’s Write Me Back will bow with between 70-75k in first-week sales.
Columbia punk vets Offspring’s Days Go By, their first studio album since 2008’s Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace, is on target to sell between 20-25k.
Finally, Madison Gate/Sony Pictures’ The Sing-Off winners and a cappella cover band Pentatonix’s PTX, Vol. 1, should do 15-20k as an iTunes exclusive, where it’s been ensconced in the Top 5 all week

This article is strange. I don't see where it mentions "190,000", & some of the information is wrong. Hands All Over debuted behind the Zac Brown Band, not Linkin Park. Linkin Park came out the week before.

You can check the HDD article I posted, since the article in the OP doesn't make any sense.
