personally i think she needs to accept the fact shes not in her 20's anymore. yea shes hott but she dont need to pose semi nude on every pic she takes, shes tryin too hard to get back on the spotlight and mainstream radio dont show love for 40+ females
she also needs to go back to making GOOD pop/rnb songs, not the oversexed **** iv been hearing. Unfortunaly i believe jermaine Dupri is the reason behind both her flops
her album sold 608k so far in the us and flop everywhere else

I think it's 'cause she isn't setting new music styles anymore and is follwing what happening already. The same thing happened to Michael on his last full album, going with Darkchild on the first single with an already milked sound. The whole snap/clap with electro synths is getting so past it, and even thought I think "So Excited" is the hottest track on Janet's album, it's still very behind. People shouldn't be commenting on her age 'cause she is still sexy. Just watch, if she makes it back with a big hit, people will be licking her ass and saying how great she looks for her age, but while she's not so successful, people think she looks stupid.

Not trying to be rude, but it flopped because nobody cared about it. And I don't think her age is really a problem. If the album was good enough, if record buyers thought Janet was still interesting, they would buy it, radio would play it and it'd be a hit.

+Nobody really cares about the album and the singer
+the music in the album is ok but it's not for today anymore (it's not POP)
+she wasn't interesting anymore and she always has bad news,no good news for her
+it isn't a bad album but she made 2 video clips all bad (Call on me is better than So excited)
+of course she's not 20 Y.O

20 y.o. has some good tracks, its her best album since the velvet rope...so sad its flopped.

I blame Call on Me being the first single as 20 YO's mis-success. Then, So Excited could've had more boost if Janet actually worked with a female rapper (Was Missy Elliot that busy?) and not someone who'll be working with KFed @ Dominos in a few months. (Khia...who'll be managed by Justin Guarini)

Janet didn't even work with Khia... she just sampled an unreleased song Khia did. "So Excited" should've been the first single... "Call On Me" was sooooo boring, I still haven't listened to it all the way through. Janet music was magic whilst she still primarily worked with Jam & Lewis, but since she's only working with them a bit and has pushed JD to the front it's gone downhill. I think that Janet should go back to the original people who know what sounds good for her, Jam & Lewis, and sort out a new album or some new tracks to re-release the current one. Songs like "Daybreak" on the album by Jam & Lewis weren't quite on the usual level of their previous work, but there's still that magical sound in there that only comes from the duo. She's needs to remember how eclectic she used to be, and not just make an R'n'B album like this one. She wanted to make a fun album but Rock and Pop can be fun!!!

in my opinion Janet can sing, she doesn't has the voice of Mariah but she can sing, she has proved it for YEARS and now people that are starting to know her say she can't sing wth?
just watch AGAIN performed at the Grammys or IF at the VMAs also she is well respected because she dances and sings at the same time.
anyways AGAIN performance is her best and shows her vocal talent

It flopped 'cause after the flip of Damito Jo she need to come back big. Call On Me was just an awful comeback single, it's not even album track worthy really.

So Excited was a good song, but after Call On Me she had no chance.
