it used to no matter what, I didn't even like to hear gay people say it....but now I'm sort of desensitized. I can say it now occasionally in a joking way.

Nope. I call myself one, I call others it too. Like, if I'll be listening to a certain song that's really feminine, I'll say that song "really brings the ****** out in me" and I call others it as an insult. I love the word.

Nope, it doesn't really bother me.

Yeah, it does bother me. Even when people don't "mean it in a homophobic way". I find it quite sexist as well as supportive of homophobia.

Like when my friends were all quoting the "Doctor F*****" line from The Hangover, it drove me crazy.

It just irks me, and I think the more people use it as a joke, the more the idea of being gay becomes a joke.
