I saw this tonight and it's so great, I really recommend it to everyone and I want to hear about what everyone else though about it. I thought Jennifer Hudson was incredible, she definitely lived up to the hype for me. Beyonce did a great job as well but she was definitely a SUPPORTING part unlike the awards she's being nominated for.
It just baffles me that people would click on a thread with the title of a movie they have no intention on seeing. How stupid.
Anyway, the movie was amazing. There was applause following Jennifer Hudson's performance. It was impossible not to, she did such a wonderful job. I could feel her pain and it really moved me. Also, I agree with the fact that Beyonce is a supporting actress in the movie. Like, how can they seriously consider Jennifer the support when the whole movie was basically centered around her storyline.

So much for the hype. That movie wasn't all that great. A lot of the scenes were really corny. I did enjoy Jennifer Hudson's performance in the movie though. She did very well considering this was her first acting gig. She was definitely the best in the movie. Everyone in the theatre cheered and clapped after Jennifer sang And I Am Telling You I Am Not Going. I still dont understand why Beyonce got nominated for Best Actress and Jennifer for Supporting Actress when it was clearly Ms. Hudson who was the star of the movie. I thought she had the most significant role in the movie and Im almost sure she had more lines and airtime than Bee.
Overall I give the movie a 3/5 stars. It had it's funny moments.
One of the best movies of the year. I love Jennifer Hudson's performance, she will definitely breakout as an amazing actress and singer. All the casts are perfect for their roles, especially Jennifer. The songs are great too, I love the Family song and Jimmy Got Soul! lmao
