MJ is actually one of the artist who helped even the playing field for ALL artist. Before Thriller black artist were not on the same playing field as whites. Black artist didn't get the same album covers( still don't. There is no reason that Britney Soears and Madonna have more Rolling Stone Covers than MJ), durIng the success of Off The Wall, MJ was told that black artist don't selll magazine covers like white artist.
It was unheard of for a black artist to be played on other radio stations than R&B.
Black artist only were nominated in the R&B categories.

Well, MJ is not a good example for you. It was very difficult for him and the Jackson 5 to get big simply because they were Black and they were trying to make it in Pop in late 60s/70s America.

A bit. They're sensitive about it. And others (mostly Britney stans) know they're sensitive about it and keep making somewhat racist comments to make them mad...which makes them even more sensitive. It's a vicious circle.

Right they can't mention that because she rarely even achieves something another black woman hasn't. Don't they remember the multiple threads about her being the first black female singer to sing at the country awards? The fact they even have the nerve to step here is mind blowing.
