Because it would make NO SENSE to state that a white woman did something first genius, when did white women as a whole face any type of barrier that held them back from accomplishing the same features as other people after they were allowed to vote since that's probably all you have to fall back on.
Did they walk through the back of buildings to perform on stage?
Did they have rocks thrown at their tour bus?
Did they have to change in bathrooms because dressing rooms were for white acts?
Were they refused clothing because they didnt fit a certain look by designers.
