Janet remained relevant from 1989-2001 (12 years) after that she can't sell anymore, touring at big venues or being played on the radio

Britney relevance from 1998-2012 (14 years) Britney still tours worldwide, is played on the radio, get hits and her only really bad seller album is "Femme Fatale" but Janet would kill to sell as much as "Femme Fatale" with her next album


that's my brutal opinion .... But I gotta say I love Janet and I even think she is a better performer.

Britney is slightly more iconic, and more successful, but it doesn't matter.

Janet is more critically acclaimed, Janet is more respected among.... everyone, Janet has done more for music, and Janet is more musically influential.

No actually. If anything Control was more WW then Rhythm Nation. Both of them sold the same amount worldwide but Rhythm Nation sold a few million more in the US.
