Assuming I support the KKK because I'm white/straight/Christian/"open-minded"/whatever = Assuming gays are weak, feminine, undeserving of rights = Assuming all Christians are violent, homophobic bigots.

None of these ways of thinking will lead our society to a positive place.

God damn, when will people realize the Bible shouldn't be taken literally. It's like me writing a blog, and 2000 years later, some dude wants to take my blog and put it in a scripture for others to look upon.

I'm a Christian and I don't believe everything the Bible says. I honestly use it for good morals as in, treat others the way you want to be treated, and spreading love and kindness. I don't think the bible was ever considered a rulebook. I do believe in God, but remember, each chapter in the Bible is written by a disciple, not God himself.

Besides, why would God create a gay person? Doesn't he create every human in his own vision?

The rationale isn't the same though, babe. One wants a group dead because their god says so, the other is mad because people want them dead because their god says so.

You don't have to agree with the thought process, but you can't really compare it to the other, either.

You also weren't born to prejudge an entire group of people because of the beliefs of a select few in that group.

I dont even care if christians were born that way and orientation is a choice. The main beef is that christians should be treated equally and protected just as much as the religious. I dont care if they think all gays should be thrown in ditches and machine gun'd, their words have no bearings if gays are viewed as equal.


Until then though...

It's a lot more than a "select few" Christians that oppose gay marriage - honestly, the majority does. I'm not just assuming this.. They really do.
