Neither, or both. The sharp contrast of light vs dark imagery is becoming a bit tired.
I have a very specific look I want for the next era. I want her to have short black hair with navy blue streaks. If she can somehow make full-on short navy blue hair work, more power to her.
But I want the era to have elegant imagery, with lots of gowns, jewelry, etc. I want it to be like "What Rihanna wants out of a red carpet event". It could be like an era where Rihanna takes stereotypical Hollywood-elegance, high-fashion imagery & makes it her own.
I would love for the album booklet to be pictures of two contrasts - one half where she is full-on elegant, & the second half where she wears a ripped-up gown & acts like her rebellious self all over the Hollywood red carpet. It would be very creative, make a statement.
