Remember, that Unbroken got released worldwide 6 months later, many people actually orderd it from amazon and got it shipped.

Albums get certified because of shipments, sometimes they're certified early to make the artist look good. See: Britney Spears' platinum certification for Femme Fatale.

Shipments aren't done worldwide. They're done by country.

btw don't forget Unbroken is the bigger digital seller. Half of it's sales are digital ones.

Unbroken wasn't sold in Holland yet. I got it shipped from the US. So I basically bought it in the US but got it shipped to a store near me, and picked it up there.

Some people even got it shipped directly to their house.

80k is a LOT more CD's out there than it seems. There is no way 80k CD's are lying around in stores. There's barely 2 at each store in my area (and we always get huge shipments of new releases.)
