I'm the same way. When somebody cries, I have to try really hard not to laugh sometimes. Not because I think it's funny, but because I'm nervous or don't know what to do/say.

We were watching 'Precious' in Life Skills class. I busted out laughing at that staircase scene and the scene when she runs away with the bucket of chicken.

I'm the same way. I'm horrible at controlling my laughing too, so I always feel like an idiot. I always laugh in serious situations because I'm not a serious person. Sis I sorta know what you mean sometimes I swear I am the only one who see's awkward stuff and I nearly have to bite my tongue from busting out laughing at the people...But as for your case like posted above it could just be your body's response to those personal and sensitive words...

A lot of the time in a public place when it's completely silent, I'll think of something funny that happened a while ago and burst out laughing. On several occasions it's been really embarrassing .
