Her fans seem happy with the sound, but she needs the general public on her side. If she's going to continue doing urban music, then she needs to have more options. Work with Frank Ocean, The Weeknd, Jim Jonson and Diplo. These are all "in" producers and songwriters. People are actually checking for what they have to offer. I can't really root for her if she keeps choosing these tired, dated productions.

With Waka, Travis Porter, Cash Out, 2 Chainz, Future and this southern movement they sort of got going on I think you could tell what they were trying to do with
Sweat and people still don't get it. But the production doesn't sound dated at all to me.
But I agree with you for the most part. And she does need the general public on her side, they are much harder and interested in female acts. A pop single with this alongside would have been smarter.
