Even at Britney's worst - she's still defines the VMAs. None of Beyonce's VMA performances are memorable or iconic....she means very little to the VMAs aside from revealing her pregnancy there.
At least GaGa had the meatdress and Paparazzi there.

There was no attempt. She did take the spotlight from Britney. The tribute was rushed and tacky, then Britney went on to praise Bey and talk about all her achievements. After the show all anybody talked about was Bey's pregnancy. Nobody cared that Britney had a tribute or won a Vanguard award
