In the first season of “The X Factor” U.S., Reid made a notorious mistake when he criticized teenage female contestant Drew for singing “Skyscraper” because Reid said it was a song for a “40-year-old.” (Reid was unaware at the time that “Skyscraper” was a hit for teenage Lovato.) At the Oakland auditions when the teenage male duo performed “Skyscaper,” Lovato reminded people about Reid’s mistake and she playfully teased Reid about it.
It was ridiculous. They let a bunch of little kids move through because they want the next 1D or Taylor Swift. I mean that guy was so talented. We boo'd the judges for at least a minute.
