With news that GaGa and Rihanna will have dance-centric albums, and with the evident trend of dance/house music infiltrating the radios, it seems a tad "overexposed". Do you enjoy the dance genre and encourage your fave to dip their toes in it? Or are you here for it to die down, immediately?

I was hoping when dubstep took off, dance music would keep developing like that. I'm all for dance music continuing if its good, experimental dance music and not generic crap.

I'd say for example, Dr. Luke is overexposed. But not dance-pop as a genre.

In its current state, yes. However, Gaga will do something different if she's doing dance music again. You can probably expect something typical from Rihanna's album.

I would say its the other way around. Dr Luke is a great and talented producer (Behind These Hazel Eyes - ET - Hold It Against Me) but if the artist in question demands nothing other than a 'hit', he wont put in time and effort to come up with something great.

The **** on the radio, yeah. I'm tired of hearing the same beat used over and over. Switch the tempo up, or use another electronic inspired sound. Just stop serving the same ****. There's so much other aspects to dance music, but it's not being used by mainstream artists.

Dance music and Generic Pop Dance are two different things.

Dance music as a genre is not dying out but I do believe that we are seeing a decline in generic dance music, which is fine by me.

It's tired because we get the same recycled half assed formulaic beats by the likes of Dr.Luke and David Guetta in the name of Dance music.I'm not saying they're not capable and skilled producers,but they're generic af nowadays.If we get something fresh,I don't think we would feel that way.
