I don't think she can, really. It's not like her contemporaries have been sitting on the sidelines doing nothing. Their videos can easily be argued to be better than Gaga's. Attention is divided between her and the other stars now, instead of being purely focused on her videos like before.

I kind of agree with some parts of your MTN assessment, but by then it was too late and the era was over.

The Judas video was a great video, which is why it managed to get almost 150 million views.
The Born This Way video was going to get views based on the success of the song.

After she premiered The Edge of Glory, all remaining hype for her videos disappeared. They struggle to hit 50 million views, not even TV premieres could help them.

Yup. And the fact Y&I did nothing abroad, and MTN did nothing anywhere, didn't help the cause.

None of you are professional editors, so ya'll need to stop judging. The sequencing during "The Fame" scene on the stairs was actually very well-done and probably one of her best editing sequences ever. Hard to follow =/= bad. This isn't how editing works. That **** coulda been on a movie.

Cinematography can be solemn and still be good. They don't have to be striking.

You need to stop expecting her to return to a Bad Romance type video. Something like that is never going to work again. Nobody was expecting that type of shock.

Yes, unfortunately the TEOG video completely killed her momentum. That video killed the era before it even was halfway finished. It was gonna come right after all that controversy and a good video could have bumped that song up to #1...

After that nobody cared.

The "Born This Way" video is the best of her career.

Not to mention how many times each song got performed around the world. The views are extremely alarming for Y&I, TEOG and MTN.

Stop comparing every video she makes to the impact of BR, she will never surpass that.

I've brought up her tanking Youtube numbers as of late on GagaDaily, and they right away accuse me of flame-bating and trolling. Except, you know, YT used to be such a huge barometer of cultural impact before Gaga's videos fell way behind Rihanna/Katy/Adele/some no-name artist in Mongolia.

The only thing that was actually flawless in Bad Romance was the fashion and cinematography. The editing was a little choppy and the artistic direction was actually very limited. She never got to explore the whole theme of being sold as a slave.

You can't expect an elaborate plot AND shocking visuals. I'd rather the former, but some of you guys are asking for the moon..
