I think it is because it's been around for a long time, and it was based off a popular music show when it was first made. It has had its time to grown.

Oh, and this is one of the few big music forums that don't completely discourage personality and attitude.
Others (I don't need to mention) try to prohibit such in a failed attempt to make their site look more professional, which slightly takes away from the social aspect of it all.

For an older version of vBulletin, this skin really destroys ones made for the newer vB.
It's impressive to say the least.

ATRL is the biggest forum because it has a nice updated look to it,and the stans tend to show a lot more personality than other forums.Though some aspects of ATRL come off as ridiculous,this site doesn't take that ridiculousness to an extreme,unlike other sites which block usage of gifs as avatars and other sites which employ a ridiculous monetary system.That being said,ATRL is a very stan driven,modern,and cultured web forums.Something I can't sy about other forums,especially thuse who wish to incite argument with ATRL.
