It's a great way to measure star power. I wouldn't pay a ticket to see just anybody, but to see someone whose reputation as a performer and artist is respected and acclaimed.

No offence, but I think the reason why her tickets were so cheap is because nobody would have probably bought them if they were over lets say about $100.

I would say so. For me, it's a little hard to distinguish between "star power" and relevancy. Like I think you could make the argument that it's the same thing for pop stars like Lady Gaga, but it's a little harder to distinguish when you see bands who haven't had commercial success with recent albums/singles selling out stadiums everywhere. I guess it all comes down to money, though...If you're making millions of dollars on a tour, does it matter if you have #1 singles or not?

Ticket prices are set according to the market force of demand,sis.Basic law of economics.Her price was low because the demand graph wasn't very cute.I don't think her grosses were that bad though,they're okay for a first arena headlining tour.People call her her a flop because compared to Gaga's first arena headlining tour,it is.But it's not really a flop.

That's because they have ACTUAL followers and are respected+ considered worthy as performers.Popstars get #1s but struggle to sell out tours as effectively as these bands because chart success depends upon the catchiness and likability of end product to which a lot of people other than the popstars themselves contirbute.Their music isn't a reflection of their own abilities or power.The popstars who are viewed as good performers have both music sales + ability to slay in tour success,like Lady Gaga.
