Not to brag but I make a good amount of money and I would still take them. The government ****s us, so hell, **** them.

As long as you stay away from certain neighborhoods you will be perfectly fine. And Chicago made much improvement. Where I live use to be the projects back in the 70s/80s. But now they completely redid the area and it is safe. Been living here for 16 years and never heard a gunshot in my life.

Let's just say that up until last year I thought food stamps looked like actual stamps and I never even knew things like EBT cards existed til I noticed people making jokes about them on the internet.

My family makes money so never seen one, but I do support them when used properly.
Ive seen people pull out the card from a Gucci or LV purse with a Rolex on and expensive glasses on and im like CH!!

I don't think it should be given to college kids or at least very rarley. It should be given to familys who really need it. Not the kids of parents who refuse to help their kid anymore cause they are legally an adult.

I was told they use to be that way but they changed them into cards in recent years to make it less obvious .

Yall don't realize how much we struggle. A fulltime student can't be that and have a fulltime job. I can't, at least, I'm premed and there's no way in Hell. I swear I think I made more in high school than I do now. If my car wasn't paid off I don't know what I'd do.

I don't disagree. I'm not blaming the student. I'm blaming the parents. The parents should be helping out if at all possible. Before the goverment comes into play.

My family used to have them as a child - about 300 dollars a month. Without it, we wouldn't have made it.
Now, we don't get anything. Mom went on to get her Master's Degree, I have mine and my siblings have their Bachelor's. Of course we don't get squat.
My grandma still does. Like 30 dollars.

No lies here. Most of the customers I have that use EBT will use their card for frozen or fountain drinks, bottled soda, chips, and candy. Then they'll pay plenty of money on either their lotto, cigarettes, or alcohol.

I don't get it...but then again, I can't put myself in their shoes. Even though I grew up in a single parent home, I never went hungry and I've been earning my own money since high school.
