Clay Aiken started off strong, then died quickly, not even going gold yet (officially of course, since it hasn't reached 500K). Christina Milian is just incapable of selling much at all, while Pink, despite all her singles releases, didn't go anywhere much either. Christina Aguilera is debatable, as she didn't sell as much as expected, but Platinum is nothing to scoff at either. - _ -
this says alot about people´s expectations on Aguilera and how big she is...of course i´m dissapointed at the sales, coz i love her and the album! but 3 million records in 19 weeks in the world isn´t a real flop! and it isn´t "stripped pt. 2", it´s a bit more challenging to many listeners. i think janet and p.diddy really flopped though, they´ve sold a bit more than ½ million in the world, and they sell almost 0 already...pink´s record is sooo radiofriendly and simple, so it should do better...but apparently many europeans like it...NOT ME!!

Nobody said it flopped. They said it was disappointing. Big difference.
Def Pink, unlike other people who didn't do well (Janet, Diddy) her material was actually good, her lack of success was due to single releases etc. That is more sad then an underperforming crap album.
- Pink has reached Gold here in the US, but has done far better overseas with multi-platinum certifications.
- Aguilera has yet to leave the top 60 on BB's top 200 LPs chart here in the US w/1.3 mil sold and 2.6 mil in the United World Charts. (And its been almost 20 weeks since the CD's release) Besides, she will be making 2xPlatinum by March here in the US. She is doing just fine. (Especially considering the album's nature which I haven't seen any of her supposed Pop Artist-Rivals attempt to do.)
- The dissapointment has to be with Janet Jackson. "So Excited" really should've caught a couple Infernos.
Xtina ( yes, she's doin fine, but still a dissapointment as people expected it a lot more!)
, then P!nk (hope she could do better in US), and the most for me is CASSIE!
Gosh, her album is good, considering Me & U was a big hit, the album sells badly.
