Katy wore weird outfits before Gaga exploded on the scene, a la the 2008 EMAs. Pop girls have always worn weird **** to get attention. No one, Including Gaga can copywrite something as vague "weird stuff". Plus, I have never seen Katy wear anything to Gaga's iconic level. A la meat dress, a gaint egg.

The only thing worse than the Gaga fans who claim everyone is copying Gaga are the people who try to deny Gaga's influence. It's not a bad thing for Katy, Ke$ha, and Nicki to be inspired by Gaga and it shouldn't be perceived as something negative.

Lady Gaga has inspired Katy Perry - stop trying to argue otherwise. If you want actual arguments, there are plenty of pictures and helpful diagrams that illustrate the connections. Everyone knows it - although I think I've figured out the reason why you haven't:

It's more of an image, clothing, visual thing than music. You can't deny that when nearly every major publication from MTV to Vanity Fair has acknowledged it. Again, it is not bad.
