Vanessa Hudgens isn't a one hit wonder the video for her second single Say Ok is being released January 12th.
I assume we can all agree that Vanessa is a no hit onder. Correct? Along with Soverign and whoever the hell jeanie Ortega is.
I'd say Cascada (must add to Worst side >_<), Cassie, Daniel Powter (unless he makes a new AI Bye Cuz You Suck song soon) and for my sanity Mario Vasquez. Hinder and Blue October (or whatever those idiots call themselves) can join this list but with (good) rock slowly circling the drain I can see them staying around to but the **** out of me for years to come.
Cassie might release a third single so she might still have a chance. As for Jeannie her song was never a hit. Also, those who are saying Mario Vasquez, has he even released a second single for people to be calling him a one hit wonder? It’s true his album flopped but his song Gallery is doing very well on radio. Paula Deanda also had a flopping album yet she has two hits on her hands, so Mario might still release another single as well.
No other song of his was played anywhere in the US. Young Dro, Chamillionaire, and Cascada (partially) have had 2.
Daniel Powter might be a One hit wonder BUT!...did any of you know that the album that he released with "Bad Day" on it was actually all written almost 10 years ago. So not sure it really counts.
Did they also flop on rock stations? Their kind of music is never really that successful outside of the rock charts, so if they continued to have success on the rock charts I wouldn't consider them one hit wonders.
I don't agree that Brooke Hogan is a one hit wonder because For A Moment will most likely do amazing at radio. Mario Vasquez hasn't released a 2nd single and I loved "Gallery". Cassie is a perfect choice although its sad cuz LW2G was way better than Me & U. But like someone said she could release a 3rd single, most likely I'm N Luv Wit U cause it's radio friendly, to me, and sounds almost like Me & U, the repetitive lack of lyrics.
ANYWAYS, the big obvious are Daniel Powter & Paris Hilton. Both had amazing radio hits, Powter went #1 and Hilton had lots of download support and was getting good radio response and we won't see another hit from them til 2063.
Thats too mean, but yeap, thats kinda true.
But Paris has a modest hit with NITW.
Powter, well, I have no idea, he could make it big if he released a song and made it as American idol's theme.
Sadly, in the United States, I'm seeing Daniel Powter. = ( I think Cassie is going to move on, although "Long Way 2 Go," despite being a hott track, flopped. The Pussycat Dolls escaped last year, so it's just that Danity Kane also escaped that title this year (both with ballad-like songs ironically). Cascada (she won't have any more mainstream success, but on dance format, of course she'll still be successful..."Miracle?") almost doesn't count, as all techno songs are like that (DJ Sammy, D.H.T....etc.). All rap artists and probably Paris Hilton are other good choices (I mean really, how many of those annoying rap songs have charted high this year with cheezy names and no follow-up singles?).
Although these artists didn't even chart high, they were mentioned and I agree:
Jeannie Ortega
Ashley Parker Angel
Bo Bice
Mario Vasquez
