There are no big changes in the top 10 this week. Last week’s #1 song “Call Me Maybe” is stable spending its second week there. Now Carly shares the record for most weeks at #1 (2 weeks at #1) with Katy Perry (Part Of Me) & Tulisa (Young). The rest of the top 5 is the same as last week. Katy Perry’s new smash hit “Wide Awake” is stable at #2. With the music video debuting this week, Katy has a big chance of scoring her 2nd #1 single on the Platinum Charts. Eurovision’s winner Loreen spends another week at #3 with “Euphoria”, while “Princess Of China” by Coldplay and Rihanna are non-movers this week. Maroon 5’s collaboration with Wiz Khalifa “Payphone” spends another week at #5. Tulisa’s “Young” boosts #7 - #6 this week and Rita Ora’s “How We Do (Party)” jumps a rung at #7. Rihanna’s former #1 “Where Have You Been” drops #6 - #8 this week and from now on it’s the song with the most weeks in the top 10 (9 weeks). Marina & The Diamonds’ “Primadonna” leaves the top 10 this week and that gives WHYB the opportunity to own this record. At #9 JLo is a non-mover with “Dance Again” and due to Marina’s withdrawal from the chart Cher Lloyd enters at #10 with “Want U Back”.
Last year’s #1 was “E.T.” by Katy Perry which spent 12 weeks at #1. Next week there would be a change at the top of last year’s Top 10.
This week there’s a special video of the top 10 of the “Platinum Charts”. From now on every week there would be probably a video (but I’m not sure…)
