All it took for Korean anime fan, Lee Jin-gyu, to fall in love was a quick trip to Bed, Bath, & Beyond. Lin-gyu fell so head over heels with his dakimakura — a Japanese body pillow with an animated heroine printed on it — that he married his cushiony companion in a special ceremony.
2. She Married A Roller Coaster
For church organist Amy Wolfe, the love of her life is quite literally a mass of twisty tracks and loops. Wolfe says she first fell for the amusement park attraction "1001 Nachts" at the tender young age of 13, and vowed to one day wed the Pennsylvania-based fairground ride. Here's hoping the happy couple will soon have a band of bumper cars to call their own.

What is it about historical monuments that gets all the ladies swooning? UK-based shop assistant Amanda Whittaker fell for Lady Liberty from afar, and even dumped the drum set she was dating to devote the entirety of her affections to the iconic statue.

39-year-old Liu Ye damn near re-defined "self love" when he married a life-size cutout of himself, albeit decked out in a red bridal gown. The award for "Quote Of The Year" goes to a few particularly polite wedding attendees, who noted that “It is a real grand wedding, except that the bride is a photo."

San Francisco's Erika Eiffel has been a long-standing staple in the "objectophile" community, but she'll always be remembered first and foremost as the woman that married the Eiffel Tower. Her husband being one of the most fantasized about locations on Earth might make for some awkward dinner conversation, though.

In uber-otaku Sal 9000's defense, his cyber-bride is technically much more animated than anything else on this list. Sal fell head over heels for Nene Anegasaki, one of several optional love interests in Japanese dating simulation Love Plus, and was so smitten by his digital girlfriend that he married her, and even live-streamed the ceremony over the web.
7. He Has A Thing For Cars
Automobile aficionado Edward Smith, pictured above with "girlfriend" Vanilla, has had a...unique appreciation for cars of all shapes and sizes since he was just a teenager. He's one of several hundred "car lovers" across the globe, and even cites his most intense sexual experience as a tryst with the titular helicopter from 1980s action show Airwolf. And now you'll never be able to watch Airwolf the same way, assuming you watched Airwolf to begin with.

Caregiver Reighner Deleighnie is obsessed with her three-foot statue of Adonis, who she's lovingly dubbed "Hans." His stony gaze hasn't completely seduced her, though; Deleighnie hints that she'd leave her marble mate in a split-second for a shot at her dream man: the statue of David.

10. And He Married A Barbie Doll
On a slightly more somber note, widower Chang Hsi-hsum didn't exactly propose to his plastic bride on a whim. Convinced that his deceased wife's spirit had inhabited a Barbie doll, Hsi-hsum wed the popular toy with an elaborate ceremony in his local Buddhist temple. The only hitch: he'd already remarried years earlier, to someone we imagine to be a very understanding woman.
