Cheryl released a pretty flawless pop album, regardless of vocal ability. I think she's deserving of her success.
I just feel like Bieber isn't that much of a threat anymore, especially now that One Direction is on the scene.
One Direction are as much as a threat to Bieber as Cody Simpson is and this is Amazon UK pre-orders alone and people suddenly think Cheryl Cole is gonna sell more. Most Beliebers use iTunes (that's where Justin pushes his fans to purchase from, where he spreads the links etc) and most will buy on the day anyway.
I'm not reaching at all. Boy-bands come and go, One Direction have nothing special that will ensure staying power (at least nothing that the others didn't have). Most of their fans were bored Beliebers.
She is just so massive in the UK. The fact that she is still slaying, without being on the X Factor and after a year and a half break, says a lot. She has the star quality and the public are still obsessed with her.
It's a shame the album is a bit mediocre. 'Under The Sun' is a bit of a rubbish second single too if I'm honest.
