We are the on the midway point of my countdown...Today, I will post 5 videos and add my personal comments on each song.
Daniel Powter "Bad Day"
- Landing on the 50th spot is a song from Daniel Powter. I like the song so much about talking about having a bad day and Daniel playing the piano.
Ashlee Simpson "L.O.V.E."
- The 2nd single from Ashlee's sophomore album I Am Me is at #49. Eventhough the song annoys me because of L-O-V-E being repeated so many times, it's still is a catchy song. I'm shocked that its her most successful video in TRL spending 10 days at the top spot.
The Pussycat Dolls "Stickwitu"
- Nicole Scherzinger and the rest of the dolls appear for the second time in my list. Stickwitu is one of my favorite PCD songs. The video features a life of the Pussycat Dolls on their tour, pictorials and rehearsals.
Rihanna "We Ride"
- Rihanna appears for the first time with We Ride in my list. I really like the scenes on the video where she is on the beach and entering the club. For me, she could have done a better video for We Ride just to make this song a success.
LL Cool J f/ Jennifer Lopez "Control Myself"
- After the success of All I Have, LL Cool J and J.Lo teamed up once again for this hot dance track. Shot by Hype Williams with an amazing effects for the video, Control Myself I may say is one of the sexiest video for 2006.
Merry Christmas to everyone!...Today, we have songs from Top 45 - 41.
Paris Hilton "Nothing In This World"
- Paris Hilton takes the 45th spot from with her 2nd single of her self-titled album. I really like the song because of its tune and how Paris sings the song. I also kinda like the video where she is the teacher and stuff but the guy in the video is really ugly.
Nelly Furtado "Say It Right"
- From one of the best album of 2006: Loose, Nelly Furtado's Say It Right takes the 44th spot. Say It Right is one of my favorite tracks from her album that's why she deserve to be on the list.
AFI "Miss Murder"
- Miss Murder is at 43 by AFI. Eventhough I'm not much of a fan of rock songs, this single of AFI is one of the best songs for the year.
Pink "Who Knew"
- Pink's 2nd appearance on my list is Who Knew. The video was shot in an amusement park which made me love this song so much. I also like her look in this video with that blond and pink hair with the green dress.
Jessica Simpson "I Belong To Me"
- Jessica Simpson takes the #41 spot with I Belong To Me. Jessica sings about herself that she doesn't belong to anyone but herself. From the video, she cut off her long blonde hair representing that she have moved on from her split-up with ex-husband Nick Lachey.
- The All-American Rejects takes the 40th spot with It Ends Tonight. This song is almost on the retirement state in TRL, but can they be successful? Only a few days left to find out.
Beyonce f/ Slim Thug "Check On It"
- The soundtrack to Pink Panther, Check On It by Beyonce is one of my favorite songs this year. A very catchy song and a suitable pink video with a great choreography made this a hit. 2006 is really Beyonce's year and I expect something more from her in the future especially in the movies.
Diddy f/ Christina Aguilera "Tell Me"
- Diddy collaborates with Christina Aguilera from this hot track. Christina's appearance help this song to be a hit and one of of my Diddy's favorite single. From his #1 album Press Play, here is Tell Me at #38.
Pink "Stupid Girls"
- Pink started the year with this her multi-character video for Stupid Girls. She spoof some famous female celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton. The video earned pink an award for Best Pop Video at the recent 2006 VMA's. Pink definitely had a success on her comeback on 2006.
Nick Lachey "What's Left Of Me"
- Nick Lachey's solo video for What's Left Of Me takes the 36th spot. Like Jessica, this song talks about what Nick feels about their relationship as a couple. MTV VJ Vanessa Minillo also appears as Nick's lading lady in the video.
