15. Paramore - Emergency
The first song from Paramore to appear. This track really gets me with each and every listen. Hayley has got a voice that soothes you and this song goes deep. I love the lyrics and I love to rock out to this one in the car. I really hope this song gets to more than just the Fuse audience. Paramore is easily the best female fronted band we've seen in some time.

14. Pink - Who Knew
The first song from Pink to appear. So pretty much this amazing song flopped in the US but was huge overseas. The video is totally where I was at when it came out. Not to mention there was a carnival in my town just as this song came out. Pink really knows how to make good music and "I'm Not Dead" is easily her best effort yet. It's always the best efforts that go unnoticed.

13. P.O.D. - Goodbye For Now
It's not often I obsess over a song like this. I played this one out by last February. The song is just amazing. The chorus is haunting, the lyrics are good. I have nothing but good things to say about it. P.O.D. really got it right with this one.

12. Nelly Furtado - Say It Right
Call me crazy, but I just noticed some striking similarities between this song and "Goodbye For Now." They both have that really haunting element. Nelly's voice is so low key on this one, the chorus gives me chills. The video is great as well, a deserved hit.

11. Mary J. Blige - Take Me As I Am
Another really haunting type of song. This is without a doubt Mary's strongest single from The Breakthrough. The video is also probably the best of her career to now.The video version of the song is chilling.

10. LeToya Luckett - Torn
So this is pretty much one of the best R&B songs I've heard in a long ass time. LeToya really knows how to make a song you can love for a long time. I can still jam to this one like it's the first time. LeToya shows she has a great voice and could very well be the best artist to surface from Destiny's Child. I loved the video and think her look's have really improved over the years.

09. Flyleaf - Fully Alive
The song that sold them to me. It's their second appearance on the list, and a great one at that. This song is borderline perfect and seriously has everything going for it. It really should have crossed over, they should be just as big as Evanescence. Lacey's over the top voice is pretty mellow on this one. The video is also great, their album is one of the year's best as well. Especially considering that there are even better tracks than this one on it.

08. The Veronicas - Everything I'm Not
Wow, these girls just keep on making damn catchy tracks. I will never get this song out of my head, Lisa and Jess made this song practically perfect. The lyrics are great and I wish they would've released it to the US. Oh yeah, I loved the video as well.

07. 30 Seconds To Mars - The Kill
I've been jamming to this song since "A Beautiful Lie' first came out. Then it was released and had a great video. I'll admit this song started to get a bit overplayed for me and I can't stand it when people who know nothing about an artist all the sudden love them because of one track that's already been out for a while. That's what happened to this song, but I still love it.

06. Joanna - Let It Slide
This girl has stolen my heart with such a pure ballad. Joanna is easily the best new solo artist of 2006, her voice will make you melt. She can hit those power notes with no problem. Then she whispers out some of the most tender high notes you've ever heard at the end of this track. This song deserved to be #1 and she deserved a #1, Multi-Platinum album.

05. U + Ur Hand - Pink
Well here is Pink's second appearance. She can't seem to get out of my head with this track. This song could have been huge had she tried harder with it. It's crazy catchy and is radio friendly to the max. It had a great video that had Pink playing dress up yet again. Pink sounds great on it and I really hope that she produces more songs like this in the future. Easily in my top 5 of the year.

04. Meg & Dia - Monster
Oh wow, this song was easily my favorite of the summer. These 2 sisters and their band really know how to make good music. Dia has a great voice, and the rock backing behind her that includes her sister Meg compliments her so much. She has a really coffeehouse type sound. The lyrics to this song are what got me hooked, the way she sings it made me fall in love with it. This is the type of song that anyone can jam to, I'm glad to see it's finally starting to get recognition. Hopefully they blow up in 2007.


Top 3 On The Way

03. Paramore - Pressure
Paramore are easily my favorite band at the moment. It's pretty much All American Rejects but with a female singer. This song is what got be obsessed with them and made me run out to go get their album, which is pretty much one of the best of the year. Well actually, the album came out in 2005 but they never released a video until 2006. Which brings me to Pressure's video. I LOVED it! The whole meaning behind it was great, this song has such strong lyrics. I really hope Paramore can become more than just another indie band that gets played on Fuse.


Top 2 On The Way

02. Christina Aguilera - Hurt
Oh Christina, please give me my heart back. This song takes you and breaks your heart while also soothing your soul, lol. Christina really got everything right with this song. Why has it not charted at the #1 spot for 10 weeks yet while mediocre tracks do? I'll never know. Her voice is right on with this track, and the lyrics are amazing. The entire message of this song is something I can relate to on a very deep level. Especially the video, my god, what a video. Hurt is easily the best video of Christina's career to date. The circus setting with all those somber elements will make you cry if you're not prepared. This was almost my #1 of the year, but there was another song that i just can't get out of my mind. Christina however did get to my #2 spot of 2006.

01. Keyshia Cole - Love
Yep Arith, you got it. This song was also my #1 of 2005, but I didn't post a list last year so yeah... Anyways, this song has been my jam since summer of 2005 and it finally became a single this past January. After about May I pretty much decided to stop listening to it in fear I would ruin it. I recently started listening to it again, and the magic hasn't gone away. Ms. Cole will captivate you with her vocals. The over the top chorus no longer seems so outlandish once you memorize every note. This song has one of the weirdest storylines I think I've ever tired to explain. Keyshia sings that she is in a serious relationship but doesn't think she is good enough. It turns out her boyfriend is cheating on her, but she can't accept ti because she is so much in love. The video is nothing like that, but is still amazing and Keyshia's best video to date. "Love" is amazing and easily my #1 for 2006!

Even though the list was really predictable, I'm really glad that "Love" is #1
