I agree, when dance-pop becomes less popular which it will (eventually lol), RnB could become more popular again.
I also wouldn't call it necessarily dead it just isnt popular atm there is still RnB around like Beyonce, Chris Brown, Usher, Miguel etc.

It's not as popular as it was before since we're in this whole dance craze. Maybe in a few years it'll make a huge comeback, but for now I can only see Usher and Bey making it mainstream again in bits and pieces.

It takes more than one hit for a trend to fully take off.
Just like the whole dance pop trend didn't just BAM happen out of nowhere.
It kept growing and growing for like 2-3 years before it finally was everywhere.

Not really but some "R&B act" wants more money or more impact by using the POP way and are not even trying to give us Urban flavor tracks (I'm talking about you Chris Breezy, Kelly Rowland, Ne-Yo and all others), but there is still some few of them who give us our R&B as we like it or trying to be innovative (some as Trey Songz, Frank Ocean, Elle Varner and many more).

R&B music is not die, it's just not as mainstream it used to be.
