This is a really, really good album. Whether you're a fan of pop music or not, it's undeniable. The people on this site trashing it, I'm willing to bet, haven't even listened to the entire thing. Its just hard for them to swallow the fact that there is someone currently more successful then their beloved Madonna or Britney... someone who just so happens to actually be a GOOD SINGER, unlike Madonna or Britney. With that said, I actually don't even dislike Britney, and you can't deny Madonna is an incredible artist. But give respect where respect is due- Gaga has a lot of talent. If the album isn't your thing, that's cool. But you can't deny the talent. And you certainly cannot deny that incredible voice that Gaga has, and the other 2 auto-tuned "singers" clearly do not.
With all that said, I come from being a primary fan of rock music. However, there is something very special about Lady Gaga's talent, message, artistry and voice. I'm a fan, and Born This Way is an AWESOME record.
For me personally, BTW is an album that defines this nation in its current state and her dedication to her art. For most "haters" all they can help to do is call it something less than how spectacular it is because they don't understand it, don't know what the word "inspiration" means, and only target her because she's reached such an acclaimed height [if she hadn't there would be far less defamation of her character]. I think this is a very innovative [blending old school with new school & keeping it atmospherically fluid=innovative] and avant-garde album which shows who the real Lady Gaga is and how far she's come and it still sounds like something SHE would do, not a "change my musical genre every album to stay current" move, it's a masterpiece in its own right. POINT BLANK x_x
Let's just face the fact that without this album Lady Gaga wouldn't have come so far. It was definitely a big step forward for her career so please, just stop saying that it flopped and that it ruined somehow Gaga's career cause that's false.
I have to admit there are some tracks on it that I don't really enjoy, but most of them are really epic and inovative for her career. I enjoy 11 tracks out of 14 on Born This Way and I only enjoy 7 tracks out of 8 for The Fame Monster, so BTW has got more good tracks, so it takes the lead.

Cos it's her current album and it gets hated on. 3 albums down the line, monsters won't be praising it.
I've loved the album from first listen.
