What do you think about the promo for miley's album? How would you guys do it?
Well first and foremost I hope Morning Sun gets an actual formal single release on iTunes and radio adds, and a music video. That could really help build up hype for the album.
I'd love for her to do a massive countdown like Justin Bieber did with Boyfriend, with all the teasers and getting to choose the single cover, etc. Then she'd premiere it at the 2012 VMAs and the song would be available on iTunes at midnight, and sent for adds the next day. A radio deal would be amazing as well.
My dream for her is to get an endorsement deal for some kind of TV commercial for a big product, especially if they play what would be her new single in the commercial. That'd be millions seeing her and hearing the song every day, plus she'd be getting paid for it. It's a win-win. I'm not exactly sure about TV promo appearances but I know The Voice is coming back in the fall, so it'd be good if she could perform her single on the premiere of that. I just want as much promo as possible, interviews, TV appearances, internet ads, etc. I need Miley to get her 5th #1 album.

Depends when it's released! if it is released this year, I would L O V E for it to be debuted at the VMAS. then she can also use the AMAs, The Voice this fall, as well as X Factor. Unlikely, but if she performed at the Grammys, that would be amazing. I also wish she would let Glee use her songs that way she can get promo that way too!

Glee has and never will be here for her. Dissing the show was probably a bad career move.

My hatred for Stay is so strange and unwarranted even for me, but the lyrics are so basic and cliche, the production is like a rejection OneRepublic song, the melody is so uninteresting... I just. The fact that everyone loves it upsets me even more.

The whole Demi comparison is a bit odd for me too, especially because she stated Rihanna as an influence as well. But I think the reason Unbroken was so off-putting and had mixed reception was because everyone thought it was going to be the next Stripped, then the album was full of songs like Who's That Boy and You're My Only Shorty. Plus Demetria came straight off a pop/rock album directly to dance/R&B, and she's still with HWR, etc. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
The phoenix thing was just something I came up with during one of those "create an album for your fave" threads. I thought it was fitting because in mythology the phoenix is born from ashes and is a symbolism of rebirth, etc., and this whole era is basically a whole new chapter for Miley. It'd be like Aves Cyrus 2.0.
I will remain adamant that Miley is working with Dr. Luke this era. She knows that man gave her her biggest hit, she wouldn't pass the opportunity up, I'd hope. I've tried to get Miley fans to tweet him asking if they're working together, but no one ever listens.
I forgot about the WOMH remix. I never check her channel anymore. While I'll agree that Stay is highly overrated on Twitter by the fans (some saying it deserved a Grammy ) it still is one of her best ballads IMHO. Simple Song was an up-tempo song about hating to walk on the sidewalk. Let's NOT go there.
The phoenix idea seems so well executed. You really should be her manager, you have good ideas. My only problem is that Miley hasn't really "fallen" to the ashes. Can't Be Tamed was technically a commercial flop, but it's not like the general public is checking up receipts to drag her. She's maintained a lot of relevance for somebody who hasn't put out work in over 2 years. A lot better than other former Disney girls, whom I shall not name.
I've already told what I wanted but my idea for the album, while not the most innovative would be to let the general public see the real her. Not the person pouting with her stomach showing on the album cover. I still think CBT didn't go gold SOLELY based on the album cover. It was fierce and I worship it, but what parent in their right mind would by that for their 6 year old daughter?
For her ballads, I only want her to have 4 at most, and all addressing different points.
Ballad 1 - Her "Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman" moment telling the public that as much as you want her to stay as Hannah Montana, everyone has to move on and grow up. The song would also address the Can't Be Tamed backlash.
Ballad 2 - Talking about her parents near divorce, and inspiring the kids out there who do have divorced parents and letting them know it's gonna be okay
Ballad 3 - Her relationship with Liam and how much she loves him (On the lines of Stay but having a MUCH better instrumental background and better production)
Ballad 4 - A "The Climb" song that inspires anyone out there that if you believe in yourself, you can do anything. Cheesy but those types of songs get me through the rough parts of my life.
Her other urban, dance-pop, and normal pop songs can be whatever they want, as long as they're good and not filler. I know she'll surprise us. The only problem I have with Miley is production. The autotune and instrumentals over powering her voice was too much on Can't Be Tamed (album). I would like her to approach her songs in a more Breakout/Meet Miley Cyrus kind of way where the instrumentals support her voice, not overwrite her. I'm extremely hopeful that this album will give her her 5th #1 album, but let's hope she doesn't release it the same week as the most successful rapper in the industry.

This would be beyond perfect but not even Gaga gets this kind of flawless promo.
I do hope she performs at the VMA's or the AMA's this year.
