It's actually harder to compare than I realized. Stronger was "sent" to radio on December 20th but wasn't set for adds until 1/16 on Hot AC...and they began playing it right around Dec 21 but it didn't start charting until 1/05. It hit #1 6 weeks after it's adds date so technically it was 6 weeks since release but more like 10 weeks after it was sent to radio..but 8 weeks after it started charting LOL. Dark Side wasn't really played until the adds date. So after a week of plays it's doing better than Stronger was but that's because Stronger was charting before the adds date.
I'll compare positions.
When Stronger was at #23 on Hot AC it had 792 spins and a bullet of 576. The #1 song (which ironically was MKIA had 4416 spins
Now that Dark Side is #24 on Hot AC it has 847 spins and a bullet of 437. The #1 song is Gotye and he has 5190 spins.
So the spins for the top songs on Hot AC have increased, so I think Dark Side has a higher number than Stronger did because of the radio merge in the middle of Stronger's run. But I'd say it's performing comparable to Stronger on Hot AC. If it keeps up the pace it could hit #1 around the end of July.
