Thousands of fans camped outside the venue in the days leading up to the free show and they all showed symptoms of the ever-spreading and highly contagious BIEBER FEVER.
The 18-year-old singer performed some of his biggest hits as he donned a metallic grey hooded jumper with white jeans, fluorescent trainers and his trademark Michael Jackson inspired gloves. Well, we say trademark - they were kind of Michael Jackson's trademark, but anyway...
He (Justin, not Michael) danced around the stage inside the plaza while 100,000 lucky fans tried gasping for air between hysterical cries and over-excited screams.
Amazingly, an additional 200,000 people watched on giant TV screens on nearby streets.
He posted a video on his YouTube account today thanking fans for their support.
'Put on a free show and 300,000 people showed up. A lot of emotions but just wanted to say I wouldn't be here without all of your support,' he said.
Adding: 'Wanted you to know how I feel. Thanks for everything I hope you chase every dream as you are helping me live mine every day. Thank you.'

But despite more people camping for Bieber than there is likely to be at Reading Festival this year, he admitted there is no artist alive that he would spend days in a queue waiting to buy tickets for.
He said: 'There is no one I admire so much to do something crazy, but if Michael Jackson were here, I would do it for him.
'So, I do understand the emotion that the girls feel and that makes me feel very honoured.'
There's no doubt that the Boyfriend singer is fast becoming the new King of Pop, speaking to Billboard Magazine he revealed how he deals with the pressures of being the idol of millions of young people.
He said: 'Our life is out there a lot more, especially nowadays when everybody has a HD camera phone on them at all times.
'But my whole career launched from the Internet, so without it, I feel like I wouldn’t even be here.
'I owe a lot of my success to social media, to Twitter, to YouTube and Facebook. It is also a great way to interact with fans.'
Biebs added: 'The studio’s filled with people I like and trust. Sometimes the lights in the booth have to be dimmed and I have a few candles, but other than that, that’s it.'

MEXICO CITY — The Bieber may outdraw the Beatle. That’s what Mexico City officials are saying as they prepare for Monday’s free concert by teen star Justin Bieber.
Paul McCartney’s May 10 concert in Mexico City’s central plaza attracted some 200,000 people and city Tourism Secretary Carlos Mackinlay says organizers expect “more” for the Bieber event.
Officials are planning elaborate security arrangements for the event, with nearly 6,000 police officers, two helicopters, 500 portable toilets and four rings of barriers. Checkpoints will limit the crowd in the plaza to about 80,000, with other fans directed to watch the concert on giant screens erected on neighboring streets.
