The U.K in general is HARSH with their treatments of female artists. Look at Duffy, Kate Nash, and Pixie Lott. All those artists only now only recieve a portion of the success they once had. It's just a weird thing in the UK, they are harsh and sometimes random.
Simon is actually a good executives when it comes to promo. She should also blame radio. They just don't play her.

She should, because she's right. Alex and Leona only lasted due to their talent, not so much Syco, all though they did their job. look at the failures, he didn't even try. Race has an impact. People want Alex to do r&b yet Cheryl can do pop, race plays its part. The UK isn't that harsh, Duffy disappeared, Kate did too and Pixie went left field. Look at Adele, Amy, Leona and Rebecca and now Emeli, Lana and Cheryl, Girls Aloud. It's black females who have it hard, and r&b ones are even worse. Radio aren't playing Alex, but why? Capital are being petty but Radio 1 are very very political. They always have been.
