I'm very depressed about the whole situation with this album. I personally LOVE it, can't stop playing it, but I can understand why some people may think it's cheap/trashy/euro-dance crap.

That being said, in my opinion, the music is not the issue. Clearly something is ****ed up at her label with regards to her promo and her issues with radio.

This may not be better than what's popular right now, but it's certainly no worse, especially with her crazy vocals. Much crappier music has charted well with decent album sales.

I just hope she doesn't get dropped after this, or maybe that would be for the best? Then she could start fresh. I don't know....

Alex would have KILLED this. This kind of sound is too good - and too cool - to be snubbed by radio.

I have my theory tbh. She left SyCo and maybe Simon was pissed and boy we all know that man is.powerful. I have no doubts he haf something to do as well as the radio djs hating on her. For a popstar, there's really no future if radio don't play ur songs.

I don't think it is, it doesn't make sense. RCA stalled though, she wanted it out in Summer 2011, and LIG was recorded in April 2012, they made BIG changes. And now she's been humiliated. I wanna meet Alex and know all tha tea. I will get a meet and greet ticket if she tours theatres briefly.

She needs to simply MOVE THE **** OUT OF THE UK and go to America, Europe is playing her music no?
I hear/see her videos all the time in Belgium so why is she still focussing on a country that's ignoring her.

Yes, it's a mainstream album BUT it's a great mainstream album imo. minus 2,3 tracks.
(I'm guessing RCA changed a lot because it's the second album and we all know how many artists fail with their sophomore records, guess they wanted to play it safe.)
The production is good and doesn't sound cheap at all, my only problem with this album is the lack of creativity.

I wonder what they're gonna do with this album/the next single.. I hope they won't stay focussed on the UK though cause that's just a waste of time atm.

Yeah. UK is dead. She gets a fair bit of Belgian love. She really should hammer European promo. UK artists get it so hard v their US counterparts It's good mainstream. People say it's cheap because it's not WFL style or WHYB or Starships. That's classed as 'expensive/classy' pop. The lack of musical creativity has irked me as Alex's acoustics/live performances are class, she needs an album like 4. Solid music. She needs to stay away from electro, lest it be like All night long or Bad Boys.

I kinda hope she is dropped, if she signs to another label maybe she'll do better. But it would be kinda awkward to go from biggest popstar to unsigned nobody in three years ....
