Yes, she needs a break. I feel she's very overexposed tbh.
The Black Eyed Peas and Eminem both took breaks from 2006 to 2009, and then their comeback singles both went straight to #1. The same will happen to Lady Gaga if she takes a 3 year break, and comes back in 2015. It will help her career. I Gotta Feeling and Love the Way You Lie, their biggest hits, came AFTER their 3 year breaks. The same will happen for Lady Gaga.
People need to get it through their heads that artists can't take extremely long breaks anymore. If you wait too long, the public moves on to the next popstar. She's fine, and I don't see any problem with her continuing her outrageous success on to another album. Hit the iron while it's hot.
I think that's why i'm not excited about her new album. I'm interested though. Same with Rihanna who pops out albums every year. Except with Riri i'm not even interested, i'm tired of her actually.

BEP and eminem had much longer careers than her before they went on those kinds of breaks
First of all, it'll be almost 2 years from the release of BTW when she releases her next album and probably a little over a year after the release of her last single. I think that's a respectable amount of time before her next release. That said, a pop star of her stature could take a 1-2 year break (including touring) without any serious repercussions on her career because of the impact she's had. You don't just go from being that huge to people completely stop caring for you.
After the next album, she could take a 2-3 year break (including touring) and so on.
Taking long breaks can severely ruin your career, just look at Christina Aguilera. She's always been second best to Britney, Beyoncé and Gaga because she never made a significant impact and spent so much time on break that people just stopped caring for her and her music.
Then you have artist who need to release album after album, like Rihanna, because they haven't had a significant impact in pop culture. If she were to take a break, she'd have a severe care of Paula Abdulitis.
For those who are saying she's overly exposed: What do you call Rihanna? She releases an album every year, and she has done 25X + 3Y + X^4 number of collaborations her entire career.
For those who are saying she's running herself in the ground: Lady Gaga can handle herself. Yes, she's a bit overzealous, but she's just getting it while the getting is good.
For those who are saying it's just too soon musically: See above.
Those saying radio is tired of her: If you look at the recent airplay peaks, they're getting tired of Rihanna, Adele, and Katy too.
For those saying she's rush-releasing an album: She's been working on this album since, like, last year. It's not rushed.
THIS is why she is making an album though. She stated in an interview people like to see "the fall of the pop star" and have them make a huge come back because that's what the general public likes. I'm pretty sure she's going to take a much deserved break minus making music videos next year in march AFTER the tour.
