Which is why the last thing Gaga should do is intentionally go "more commercial" or otherwise attempt to deliberately hit chart success. Plenty of people in pop are doing that, I just want Gaga to follow her own muse and keep surprising me with what she does. She's a leader, not a copycat wannabe. Way too many people on ATRL care about all the wrong things, when they should just care about the music and if they personally respond to an artists work without needing validation from others or some sort of stupid bragging rights.

This is the problem with Gaga's image right now though She's too worried about collabing with "generic" producers and it makes it seem like she's above them. I mean even if we consider her music to be a step up, that doesn't mean that they deserve to be degraded.

He sucks, though. It's not even about examining his work through a Gaga lens. He legit sucks, period.

That's your opinion. I like his music, so therefore he doesn't suck. Yall are too worried about who's producing what and not the actual quality of the music. Most of RedOne's Non Gaga songs are generic as ****. And yet when she works with him they are Gaga-esque and usually commercial. Sans a few.

I'd rather she have great music, and flop, than for her to EVER work with David Guetta.

Gaga does not need to work with people who ran out of ideas 2 years ago. (Guetta peaked with his work on Flesh Tone) She needs to find fresh blood. (like Zedd)

I think she'd be more collaborative with Guetta than just laying down vocals. You know how she was with Garibay and DJWS? And I think he respects her enough to let her have the input she wants.

Besides, he actually has good songs. Titanium, for example? And Without You isn't half bad either.

He allows the artist to write up the songs for the beats, so I don't see how they couldn't possibly sit up together and create a really good dance song.

This. I don't care if it' doesn't go number 1, but if it's a nice smooth commercial sound with good lyrics/themes, and is still Gaga edgy. I'm here for it. And hell if she does something totally brand new! I'm here for that as well!

Well, mostly, he buys rights to songs written by songwriters, but we know Gaga would write completely for herself, like Sia did for Titanium. And then she actually does self-production, so she could do more than any of his other collaborators.

Yes, they matter, but they still aren't everything.
