According to Stacie Orrico Online, Virgin Records is up for sell. Here are some of the details:

Virgin is selling the company. With that being said, every artist is being affected. This could take up to 2 months to a year. What does this mean? All of the funds/money is being frozen for everyone unless they pay for it out of their own pockets.

So as a result of this, Janet Jackson is looking for a new label. This definitely is an explanation of why there hardly has been any US promo for acts like Stacie Orrico and RBD, they have no money and any funds for promo/touring has to come out of artsts' pockets.

As a Stacie Orrico fan, I hope her music career will be okay, since she is definitely not recieving much promotion and with Virgin selling...we don't know what's going to happen. I am completely shocked by this.

No wonder RBD only did promotion for their English album on Hispanic programs, instead of American programs such as TRL and Jay Leno.

Umm, or maybe it's because they really can't speak a single word of English if their lives depended on it? I mean, seriously. They make Thalia or Paulina Rubio seem like scholars of the English language.

They sounded better there than the other 10 times i saw them trying. I know you love them but come on, you have to admit they're not that good. Plus that video was edited.

I prefer a thousand times Julieta Venegas trying speak english than RBD. And I'm so sad for Stacie because I loved her music and she is very original.
