I would say Britney, but her album won't be out until past July so...

This past year was uncharisteristic of the last few with no clear cut artist who took the entire year (Examples: Usher - 2004, Mariah Carey - 2005). I don't think next year will be any different unless Kelly Clarkson or Britney Spears makes huge comebacks.

That's what I mean Usher will be the artist in 2007 just like what he was in 2004 because 2005 and 2006 he took a break if he was still making those albums in those years it would have been a three peat.

Usher & Mariah proably won't make big comebacks and the might even flop because niether one of them can top thier biggest years of thier carrers.

As for Britney Spears & FallOut Boy might have chance seeing that Fall Out Boy is kinda new. And Britney might throw out some BS or she might bring something really good it could go either way for her.

I think there will be few artist with a lot of success and some minor ones.

Everyone tends to leave out Mariah Carey though...You're right, I doubt she'll ever be able to top 2005, but she might be able to have a huge year regardless. I'm still sticking with my choices, however, in Kelly Clarkson and Britney Spears, as well as outside chances from Usher and Mariah Carey to repeat.
