If she wants to keep doing things that blend the lines of what "hip-hop" is, it's better for her to pitch for the alternative and pop crowds and let urban catch up to her. It's pretty clear that the music she wants to make and the music an urban audience would want her to make are different.
I wanted an Urban audience because they are loyal. Honestly, Azealia won't be successful in this current lane she put herself in.
