An arist is someone that creates something. writing music, producing, playing instruments are ways that they make music. Singing, dancing is just to show talent.
From thw top pop girls, kesha, gaga, pink and I guess katy all have shown some artistry. i dont think I can say the same for rihanna, britney or beyonce as much as I love them.
well beyonce does produce and take part in songwriting whether its lyrics or vocal harmonies, melodies, etc.
but thats not the only thing that people said. and your book is irrelevant. she is an artist. fact. it's not up for debate.
