When Avril outdoes you, you KNOW there’s a problem. Sure Leona has dem vocals, but once again she fails to add any real character behind her singing. I feel at least some of Avril in her version. Anyways, this is a pretty forgettable ballad in all senses. The vocals were empty, the writing is whatever, the video is kind of a mess. I’m still surprised that this song is out so early though, I thought it could crack the top 30.

Like mixing fire and gasoline, putting Jessie in a stripped setting is just asking for trouble. The thing that kills me about this song is that Morrison (who I’ve never used ) wanted Adele for this song and instead got Jessie. What kind of slap in the face is that? Also, does anyone else feel gross watching Jessie in a slightly intimate setting? The end of the music video was like watching my parents makeout. I think it’s cause I’ve always seen Jessie as more of a cartoon character.
