Tonight is not a bad choice, and would be one of the single choices I would have had in my mind if this era would have been succesful but I kinda wished for more diversity, Tonight is another club song while she also has Daylight Robbery and Between the Sheets who could just show another side of the album, if this era keeps underperforming we won't see any other single after Tonight, I guess, so yeah idk, it's hard.
Tonight is so underwhelming for me. After the snippet leaking earlier in the year, and then the song beginning with a piano, I was hoping for one of those songs where it builds up and builds up for a massive final chorus.

It gets really annoying tbh. So repetitive.
I can only imagine the budget of the video
+1. I hate it, it's the WORST song she's recorded. The lyrics are good ('don't you know rule #1 is to make me feel wanted') but the production is just naff. It's that BAD europop. There's nothing to it.
No way you're shading "Tonight"
Yeah, it could have been better, still it's a jam ... Gotta agree with y'all though, I would have NEVER released Tonight at this point since Elephant didn't last and Let Go totally flopped.
Would have gone with This Love Will Survive tbh
The whole of Heartbreak on Hold is underwhelming to be honest when you listen to it more than a few times. Listening to the deluxe version and hearing the accoustic versions of Let It Go and Hearbreak on Hold makes you realize how much potential this album had to be vocally dynamic but it was watered down to fit the dance pop scene.
Thing is since Hallelujah alex has had uptempo every single. And Elephant, LIG and now this don't show her vocal. Daylight Robbery, Oh La La etc do. She needs something different and DR is it.
She's really going for it on the album vocally, but not on the singles picked. It won't shift her album. And this will make radio almost justified in not playlisting her. It might be a jam but people buy based on singles. Ah..a mess at RCA HQ.
The main thing this album is lacking is BALLADS. WMCB is a fantastic song but its not something you go back and listen to over and over, especially with it being right at the end most people might not even get to it.
