If one want to go as far as 'diary entries' than a lot of greats would never existed. Some peeps just need the chill pill. It happened in the '60s/'70s. Hell it's been happening since forever. If everyone used filter, than "You're So Vain" would be trashed to no end, no fun guessing on who it could be about, David Geffen? Mick Jagger? James Taylor? Who else? It's just today's ppl culture on obsessing over celebrities. Man, and it's annoying as ****.
And Mayer, if he's truly a grown man, the way to talk about things like that is via music. Not interviews. It could have given him good things if he got the balls to be 100%, free-filter on songwriting instead of interviews.
EDIT: Do we need to remind Mayer that we all know "Your Body Is A Wonderland" is about Jennifer Love Hewitt? That song itself is disrespecting women imo.
