I've seen both live and I'm not going to say this because I am crazy about Hilary but Selena has no stage control and even though she sings live she has no technique I mean if you're going to sing live for an hour and a half at least you don't want to sound EXACTLY the same. I don't mean to shade her or anything because I love her too.
Neither are vocal powerhouses, but Hilary can sing, unlike Selena. Selena's almost always singing off key and she has like no stage presence, which doesn't help her case.
They are both better singers than people give them credit for. And on the subject of Selena being able to sing or not, yes, she's been very inconsistent with her televised performances but she has shown she can sing.

While I don't think I've ever actually seen a video of Hilary singing 100% live, Selena frequently surprises me with her catatonic performances, as well as her physical incapability to sing both on key, and with any projection whatsoever.

Selena. But that's because I have yet to see a video of Hilary actually singing live. I saw that video of her recording Reach Out and that was awful. I'd post some videos that showcase Selena's voice but I'm on my phone so bleh. But either way you can post videos but it'll will be like it never happened since people will judge Selena's voice only by her bad performances. I mean, it's ATRL. But for me Selena is better. Then again, they're basically the same singers.Both really weak voices with great tones.
