Yes, people all over and not just celebs, wear different types of weave, wigs and extensions.
But you're right, Beyonce changes her a lot more frequently then most. She must have a least a couple of people doing her hair and doing it fast because it can traditionally take 4-6 hours to do a whole head, hence the use of glue to make it faster.
