I'd expect something like this to happen in the U.S., but definitely not Canada. I feel so sorry for those people.
Here in Australia, we have had two shopping centre shootings this year, one in Westfield Parramatta, the other at Robina Town Centre. It's so strange, and so rare for things like this to happen in Aus and Canada. What's going on with the world?

I was nowhere near the Eaton Centre last night, but I am there pretty often whenever I need to buy something...dunno what I would have done if I was there

The madness in this world kills me daily

They identified the man who died and he's a young Muslim man who may have had gang affiliations.

RIP. I have a gut feeling that he's Somali.

This gang violence needs to stop.

It's not really that rare in Canada. Someone got stabbed to death outside a popular restrurant in Downtown Vancouver earlier this year.

Though is pretty rare and shocking and a tad scary for someone to walk into a crowded mall and open fire.

I heard about this! I was on the subway when it happened so we were delayed for quite a while. Sad to hear about the injuries.

I hope your friend's sister zombaland and everyone else injured makes a full recovery!

Awww this is so sad. People going to the mall just to enjoy themselves and do some shopping and this happens. RIP to the man. And bless the injured people.

I was really upset last night when it happened.

Canada has had such a bad week.. I'm hoping things change for a good turn next week.
