.............the hottest female album THIS YEAR. Bidet what? Cautious who? Candy Kane when? Manly Joke Blind how? Figgie where? Kelops why? NO ONE touches her this year. I'm mad she waited ALL year to drop though, but that's the only way to get the GOOD **** out, in time.

To the haters:

We know she's got a raspy voice.
We know she yells on her tracks.
We know she looks like a duck.
We know she is melisma crazy.

All those elements are contained, honed, and executed BRILLIANTLY. The album is SOLID. If the public doesn't respond well to this album (like many albums in the past of such caliber haven't been) the world is missing OUT.
The album has production by Kwame ("Not The Way I Do"), Swizz Beats ("Surround U"), Danjahands ("Bore Me (Yawn)", "Ineligible"), Bryan-Michael Cox ("Only One U"), Missy Elliott ("Two Weeks Notice"), and Dre and Vidal ("Baby Makin' Hips"). The album has been formatted to a funktified swing-jazz fusion with contemporary touch ups that leaves Fantasia piling doo-doo on what Christina Fraudulera attempted to do with Back 2 Basics. The tracklisting is PERFECT, mid-tempos into ballads into funky riffed anthems, something that has been neglected as many R&B albums are filled with slow songs at the end cough*CIARA*cough*MONICA*cough*.

75% of the album can, IMO, be singles (9 tracks), but there are definitely songs that rise above the rest. The Pink Panther-ish anthem about the ever-present female fertility, "Baby Makin' Hips", leaves Fanny telling the girls how to bait the guys, something Tweet-le dumb failed to do in "Sex, Sports and Food". Danja produced "Ineligible" rants about how the men in Fanny's life always have baggage attached (kids, ex-wives/girlfriends, debt), a classic single female theme for the new millenium. The "ghetto club R&B" dubbed track "Sunshine", which sounds like a ballad off the sound of the simple title, Fanny frankly flips the wigs of those that approach her with the thought that she's some dumb chick, but she insists "she's the best in the hood" and "she shine so bright"; an uptempo self empowerment cut to say the least. But the song that exudes where the Grammy nominated "Free Yourself" left off is the butterfly-in-gut confessional of "When I See U". Fantasia conveys her every emotion, her every action, her ever thought about that one male that hits the spot from even the farthest distance.

All in all, Fantasia is on the opposite side of the spectrum when the words "sophomore slump" arise. Cop the black-faced inspired looking disc on December 12th, y'all!

I heard the album yesterday.....And I love It

It's sooooooooooooooo good I love this album with a huge passion and I'm totally buying it. Hood Boy, When I see u, not the way that I do, I'm Bored (yawn) are sooo good

I've never liked her. I like Hood Boy, Free Yourself, and Truth Is but I doubt I'll buy this. I bought her last album and was really disappointed.

Word up LL. This album is twice as much better than the first. Tasia definitely stepped up to the challenge and did the business with this album. I too will be verklempt if this album does not get the recognition it so well deserves.

Even Rolling Stones and EW Weekly gave high praises for this album. BIG TINGS A GWAN for Fantasia for sure.
