Sad to see one for Kelly's greatest song being paid dust just cuz it wasn't a REAL single and people voting for P!nk by default without even having listened to Kelly's. Her vocals on this track is stunning. It's raw and powerful and does dances around P!nk's Sober. I enjoy P!nk's sober but it doesn't have as much dept as Kelly's. The bridge and the belt she does>>>>>>>>life. Give it a listen and get into it.
I like ballads more than other songs, but P!nk's wins for me. Kelly's is fine, but P!nk's is great and is her best song other than "I Don't Believe You"
I still remember the magnificent reviews of "Sober" when it was first released.

Billboard:
"'Sober' is a better bet to propel the pop queen back to the top with affecting downtempo velocity, a doleful message of overcoming temptation and a vocal inflamed with convincing pensive emotion."'

29. Had Kelly Clarkson gone whole-hog and released the garage-pop "Hole" as the lead single from her much-maligned My December, she could have earned the continued respect of indie-rock critics. Instead, we got the lovely, tortured, and understated "Sober," which, sans promotion from a label that—perhaps vindictively—opted to cut its losses, flopped like a drunk falling off the wagon. SC
